Big buzz around Summer Session

19 Feb, 2019

Expect some acoustic folk music with some great storytelling as former Border singer and guitarist Matt Ortiz headlines The Cube Wodonga's next Summer Session on Friday, February 22.

Performing under Matt Ortiz Music for the past six years, Ortiz puts a lot of time into writing his own music and enjoys expressing himself through lyrics.

Residing in Melbourne for the past couple of years, Ortiz enjoys travelling back to the Border for gigs.

He has performed at many past Border events including By the Banks music festival, the opening of Mama and other local community events.

"I am looking forward to coming back to town for this intimate gig," Ortiz said.

So mark your calendar and come on down to The Cube from 7pm for a night of great music, which will also include warm-up acts Elk Music and Tullie Roberts Music, with entry only $5 per person.

We will also be joined by our MC of the night, Alyce Fischer.

There are snacks provided and drinks at bar prices, making this your new Friday night after-work destination.

Not that you need even more reason to attend but we also have Revolution Theatre Productions and the cast of Avenue Q who will perform a couple of numbers from Avenue Q.

Avenue Q, is an outrageously funny musical comedy that requires you to leave your children at home along with political correctness to enjoy irreverent, puppet-filled fun that contains adult themes, strong language and sexual references with a cast of quirky puppets plus a few humans, and will be also showing at The Cube, Wodonga, from March 21 to 24.
