Wodonga Council provides a number of waste services and facilities for residents that allow you to keep your environment clean and sustainable.

We contract Cleanaway to provide a waste, recycling and organics service to our residents. We also provide two free tipping vouchers attached to rates notices each year, for occupied residential properties. A hard waste kerbside collection service is not offered in Wodonga.

The Wodonga Resource Recovery Centre is a recycling/re-use centre located at 29 Kane Rd, Wodonga. The facility is designed to maximise re-use and recycling. Sorting your load will reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

e-Waste ban

From 2019 - anything with a plug, battery or cord is not be accepted in any bin or landfill site across Victoria.

Instead, you will be able to take your e-Waste items to the Wodonga Resource Recovery Centre in Kane Road, Wodonga.

Container deposit scheme

CDS Vic provides a 10 cent refund for every eligible drink container returned at refund points across Victoria. Most aluminium, glass, plastic and liquid paperboard (carton) drink containers between 150ml and three litres are eligible. Keep the lids on as they are recycled, too.
