Dress up and let loose

5 Dec, 2022

Young people are encouraged to dress to the nines for a free night of great music, food, dancing and lots of fun.

Wodonga Council’s FReeZA team will host the Let Loose Dance Party at The Cube Wodonga on December 17.

Wodonga Council’s Youth Officer, Janet Banda, said the event was an end of year celebration hosted by young people, for young people.

This has been in the pipeline for a long time,” she said.

“Wodonga’s young people expressed that they wanted a dance party experience and so the FReeZA team is excited that dance parties are back.”

Those aged 16 to 25 are invited to socialise and let loose by enjoying a dance party with music by DJ Fenzy in the main auditorium from 7pm to 9pm.

“We want people to come dressed to the nines and join in celebrating the end of 2022,” Janet said.

“Come along to let loose, have fun and create memories with your friends.”

The Cube courtyard will be turned into a food court with an assortment of finger food, Thai food from Toun’s Kitchen, gourmet pizzas by Woodfire Desire and Monumental Ice Cream offering dessert.

There will also be live acoustic performances by young local artists Annika, who plays indie folk music, and Larissa and Jayde will deliver an R ‘n’ B vibe in The Cube Wodonga foyer from 6pm to 7pm.

Adding to the fun, there will be a make-shift photo booth to capture the moment.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to register their interest on the Facebook event.

FReeZA is a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, alcohol and smoke-free events for young people.
