Reduced hours for the Waste Transfer Station

The council's Waste Transfer Station will be operating under reduced hours during times where air quality readings are at a hazardous level, as per the EPA Victoria monitoring station for Wodonga.

Today is a day of 'very poor' air quality, so it will be operating as per normal hours today.

Operating hours will be updated as conditions change. Stay up-to-date via our Facebook page, or by contacting the Waste Transfer Station or customer service.

The Wodonga Waste Transfer Station is a recycling/re-use centre located at 29 Kane Rd, Wodonga.

The facility is designed to maximise re-use and recycling. Sorting your load will reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. If you are a frequent visitor to the waste transfer station with more than 10 visits per month, you can apply for a credit account.

It also currently records the city's rainfall for the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

In recognition of regular differences in rainfall between Albury and Wodonga, the BOM sought an official rain gauge for the Victorian side of the border.
