School holiday fun

12 Sep, 2022

The school holidays are just around the corner so it’s time to book the kids into activities.

Don’t worry, we have you sorted.

For those aged between 5 and 14 years, Risky Kids is a great physical program that uses parkour and gymnastics.

Sign your child up for this fun program where they will get to meet other children while enjoying the benefits of physical activity.

The program will be held at Baranduda Community Centre on Wednesday, September 28 and Felltimber Community Centre on Wednesday, September 21.

Children who like to act and dress up in costume will enjoy a drama workshop hosted by all-round dramatic human Alyce Fisher.

Alyce will take participants through a fun morning full of drama games and perhaps some silly walks.

This workshop will run at Felltimber Community Centre on Monday, September 19, from 10am to 11.30am and Baranduda Community Centre on Thursday, September 22, from 10am to 11.30am.

If you want to get your child back to nature these school holidays, sign them up for the Gardening Club with Bunnings.

They can get their hands dirty as they decorate a terracotta pot and fill it with a plant.

The workshop will be held at Baranduda Community Centre on Monday, September 26 and Felltimber Community Centre on Wednesday, September 28.

Participants can then take home their creation to admire and their plant to nurture.

Have you booked in for the [Holidays @ Hyphen] program yet? These popular events book out fast.

These school holidays Hyphen have a range of programs covering sustainability, art, crafts and LEGO.

At Hyphen – Wodonga Library Gallery, children can reimagine old jewellery into something new, using reclaimed beads.

This is a drop-in workshop for all ages.

We have a special Storytime taking place during the school holidays involving rubbish bins.

Are you confused about what goes in which bin?

Want to be more mindful of what goes to waste and how to better reduce, reuse and recycle?

In this special Bin Smart Storytime, children will grow their recycling and sustainability knowledge with a fun learning activity presented by Halve Waste.

Recommended for families with children aged 18 months to six years.

Head to Hyphen's website or the Events tab to find out more and find booking links.
