Abi Thompson is known for her work with a diverse range of art mediums.
As a long-term resident of Albury-Wodonga, she has exhibited Australia wide, conducting workshops and presenting her work.
Abi has won several awards for her wearable art, textiles, painting, and printmaking.
Her prolific output ranges from large scale oil and acrylic works to community murals and commissioned weavings.
During her Open Studio sessions, meet Abi, discover more about her art practice and collaborate to create a large-scale textile installation using backstrap weaving techniques in the windows of the Creative Studio.
This project was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia.
