Wodonga's off-leash dog areas are much-loved spots for dogs and their owners.

Our civic services team monitor these areas, however, we would like to remind residents to clean up after their animals out of respect for other users of the facility, and to avoid being fined.

Biodegradable dog waste bags are provided at each entrance to the parks. You will need to bring water for your dog as there is no access to clean water at the dog park.

A friendly reminder that all dogs must be on a leash in public areas according to the updated Effective Control Order that was gazetted in October 2020, with exemptions for working dogs, police dogs and corrective service dogs.

There are provisions in the order where dogs must be under control near playgrounds, sporting or community events, around stock in council-leased areas, barbecue and picnic areas, and other area including WREN reserves, Gateway Village and council events.

Dogs are prohibited inside all public gated playgrounds, on the playing field during a scheduled match and Wodonga athletics track.

In designated off-leash areas, owners still have a responsibility to ensure their dog is under sufficient control by voice or hand to not threaten or be a nuisance.

Enclosed dog park

The dog park is located at Belvoir Park on Reuss Rd, near Church St, Wodonga.

The park has two dog agility runs in the main area, with seating, shade and water bowls.

There is also a separate section for quiet or timid dogs.

Off-leash areas in Wodonga

The designated off-leash areas along with maps are detailed below. An overview of off-leash areas across the city can be downloaded here.

When using the maps hyperlinked below, please ensure you determine the boundaries of the off-leash areas and ensure you observe the designated signposted areas. For example, Willow Park off-leash area is the area to the south near McFarland Rd, not the entire area of Willow Park. The playground and playing fields are strictly on-leash areas.
