Inspired by found natural objects and environmental change, Marg Leddin’s Endurance is an exhibition of photograms exploring themes of environmental change and relationships between people and nature.
A photogram, a photographic image created without a camera, is made by placing objects directly onto light-sensitive paper (or another medium) and briefly exposing it to a light source.
The Wodonga-based artist’s work reinterprets familiar weeds, wild plants and cicada nymph shells in unexpected ways, encouraging us to see beauty and significance in the ordinary and to reflect on our place within the changing environment. Through her work, Marg questions what belongs, what is discarded and what deserves our care.
