Whenby Grange playground to be extended

24 Feb, 2021

Wodonga Council is extending the playground in the Whenby Grange Reserve play space off Parnaby St with a range of climbing equipment and slides to complement the existing equipment.

This has been prioritised for the current playground program in response to feedback from residents in the area, the growth in the surrounding estates and limited play spaces in the area.

The new equipment includes two slides, climbers, catwalk, monkey bars and a rock scaling wall.

The existing equipment - the swings and rope climber - remains and the extension will be accommodated in the space of the soft fall zone.

There is provision for a playground in the next stage of the nearby Kinchington Estate.

However, this is awaiting site access and the necessary infrastructure from the developer. It is hoped this will be progressed later this year.
