Hyphen Creative Studio
The Hyphen Creative Studio residency offers an exciting space for artists, designers and other creatives to develop their work in a purpose-built space within Hyphen.
The studio is 25 square metres and is located on the first floor gallery level of Hyphen. Next to the outdoor terrace, the space is equipped with a sink, benches, work area, storage cupboards, a plan press, solid easel, and ample natural light. Access is also available to Hyphen’s Sound Studio, Tech Studio and 3D printer as well as all the resources of the library.
Emerging Artist Residency
Hyphen artists in residence will have unique opportunities to share knowledge and skills, be inspired and connect with community in a vibrant cultural centre.
Benefits of the residency include professional development opportunities, support from the gallery team, paid opportunities to work with us to deliver workshops or public programs, potential opportunities for exhibition and collaboration with other artists.
This is a three to six-month residency for an early career artist (in the first five to seven years of their career) who would like to develop their artistic and professional practice within a supportive studio environment. During the program, the resident artist will have the opportunity to develop work in the Hyphen Creative Studio within a connected and supportive environment.
Creatives may apply for the residency at a subsidised rate of $240 per month.
