Draft Council Plan 2021-2025

Earlier this year, Wodonga Council asked the community to imagine better and tell us what they believe are the important issues facing our city, what are the needs and aspirations of the community, what is important to you and what you want the council to focus on over the next four years.

All the feedback from community workshops, drop in sessions and through the Make Wodonga Yours online portal, has been collected, reviewed and used to develop our draft Council Plan 2021-2025, a key strategic document to guide Wodonga Council’s decision-making and resource allocation over the next four years.

The Council Plan describes the outcomes the council seeks to achieve, outlines how it will achieve these and sets out how it will measure success.

A key strategic document, the Draft Council Plan outlines five key priority areas to improve outcomes for our community:

  • Strong, responsible and sound leadership;
  • Sustainable and forward looking;
  • Healthy, safe and resilient community;
  • Connected and engaged community; and
  • Thriving and vibrant community

The draft Council Plan 2021-2025 builds on previous work undertaken through the Council Plan 2017-2021 and also outlines strategic direction to deliver on the Wodonga 2033 community vision.

Because of the role council plays in fostering community wellbeing, the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan is integrated in the Council Plan.

Let us know what you think.
