    Community Conversations - Forums 2019

    Want to present to the council on a topic of importance to you and the wider community?

    The council is introducing community forums as a way for the community to raise and share information. The council will also share information on key topics.

    Community forums will be held up to six times a year on the first Monday of the month from 6pm to 7.30pm, kicking off in September.

    Everyone is welcome to attend and there will be the opportunity to ask questions.

    To speak at a community forum, an application must be submitted by the Wednesday before.

    The first of our Community Conversations Forums was held on Monday, September 2, 2019 at The Cube Wodonga.

    Wodonga Council CEO, councillors and members from the community attended.

    The following was discussed:

    • Current consultation opportunities and events
    • House numbering in Badcoe Ave
    • Logic drainage

    November Forum

    View the agenda and presentation of our second Community Conversations Forums below. This was held on Monday, November 4, 2019 at The Cube Wodonga.

    Wodonga Council CEO, councillors attended this event with many members of the community also in attendance.

    Many topics were covered, including: 

    • A city transformation presentation by the Mayor
    • The cat curfew and street tree planting
    • Single-use plastics and the impact of straws
    • Regional impacts of Climate Change
    • Riverside Estate issues
