Wodonga Council is seeking feedback from the community on proposed changes to the speed zone around the Baranduda Primary School.
The expansion of the residential area bordering the school has resulted in Verbena St being extended to the Larage and Caraway streets intersection.
The extension of the road requires the existing 40kmh permanent speed zone to be extended to all streets fronting the school.
The council is also taking the opportunity to include the adjacent Sage Court car park within the 40kmh speed zone.
The council is committed to providing a safer environment for students and parents in the vicinity of the primary school, community centre and shop carpark.
The council is keen for community members to provide feedback on the benefits and any potential adverse effects that may result from the proposed changes to speed limits.
