The amendment C132, is a combined planning permit application and planning scheme amendment under Section 96A of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (the Act) which affects land – Lot 128 on PS733790 (corner of Verbena Street and Arnica Circuit) at Baranduda.

The amendment seeks to facilitate the development of a Neighbourhood Convenience Centre at Baranduda, in accordance with the Wodonga Growth Strategy (WGS), the Wodonga Municipal Strategic Statement and the Wodonga Activity Centre Hierarchy Strategy (July 2019).

The amendment proposes to:
  • Rezone land (Lot 128 on PS 733790) from General Residential Zone (GRZ) to Mixed Use Zone (MUZ).  


The planning permit 103/2018, seeks approval for the following.

  • Use of land for retail premises in the Mixed Use Zone.
  • Construct a building and carry out works associated with a Section 2 use in the MUZ.
  • Construct a building and carry out works associated with retail premises in the BMO.

The amendment is on public exhibition from November 21, 2019 to January 10, 2020.

Written submissions

Any person who may be affected by the amendment may make a submission to the planning authority about the amendment. Submission must be in writing giving the submitter’s name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the amendment is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.

Name and contact details of submitters are required for council to consider submissions and to notify persons of the opportunity to attend council meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions.

The planning authority must make a copy of every submission available at its office for any person to inspect free of charge for two months after the amendment comes into operation or lapses.
