Proposed Road Closure Osburn St

Closed

Saint Augustine’s Primary School, in Osburn St, Wodonga, has requested of council that part of Osburn Street be closed to improve safety for students, staff and families.

The proposed closure would enable students and teachers to move between the main school site and the playground area on the north side of Osburn Street without having to cross the road.

The school proposes to, at its own cost, remove some of the car parking in Osburn Street and replace that with grassed landscape area for students to use.

At the school’s request, this would be a road closure rather than a discontinuation.

Because this matter comes under Section 223 of the Local Government Act of 1989, feedback can only be received through formal submissions.

Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her submission is entitled to be heard before council or be represented by a person acting on his or her behalf, and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.

February 21, 2022

At the February council meeting, councillors voted to approve the closure of a section of Osburn St.
