Wodonga Council is seeking feedback on the proposal to rename Bond St, Wodonga to Jack Hore Way.

The piece of road known as Jack Hore Place was renamed Elgin Boulevard in 2002 to prepare for the rail line in Wodonga to be removed. A commitment was made with the development of the central business district that a park or road would reuse the name in honour of the long-serving shire president.

With Bond St no longer associated with the development surrounding South and Smythe streets, a proposal was tabled to rename this Jack Hore Way, with the support of the Hore family.

Any enquiries relating to the proposal may be directed to Wodonga Council’s GIS co-ordinator on (02) 6022 9300.

Location: Jack Hore Place
