Now is the chance for you to have your say on items included, or not included, in the draft budget for 2016-2017 as well as the updated Council Plan.

At the May 16 meeting of the council, councillors passed motions to endorse these documents for public exhibition.

The Wodonga Council Budget 2016-2017 was endorced at the July, 2016 council meeting.

Key facts about the 2016-2017 draft budget

Rate rise of 2.5 per cent
$5.2 million in renewals including roads, car parks and pathways
Budget fully funds renewal program
Borrowings have been deferred for the past four years and stand at $25.5 million at the end of 2015-2016
Provision made for $2.5 million in borrowings in the 2016-2017 year
$1.3 million in savings achieved from 2014-2015 through efficiencies, service reviews and lower costs
