The updated draft Biralle Park and Kelly Park master plans are now out for public comment.
The master plans support the Sport and Recreation Plan 2014 to 2040
and help the council to identify priorities and funding opportunities,
ensure accessibility and inclusion for the community and guide
User groups, community and key stakeholders are encouraged to provide
their feedback on the master plans that cover a range of
infrastructure, landscaping and pathways works.
The master plans include staged indicative costing over the life of
the master plans. The intention is to include these works in the forward
capital plan once the master plans have been adopted. This also allows
external funding opportunities to be sought to offset council
Several priority projects were implemented including the replacement
of the Wodonga Hockey Field, relocation of development plans for the
regional cricket facility to Birallee Park and resurfacing works to the
netball centre at Kelly Park.
The master plans for Birallee Park and Kelly Park have been
significantly affected by the delivery of the priority projects. As a
result, these masterplans required updating to capture these changes. A
