As part of the Biralle Park Master Plan (revised 2019), a pump track in the south-west corner of the park was included to enhance the quality of the informal recreational opportunities available in the precinct.
The council committed a budget allocation in the 2019-2020 budget to complete stage 1 of the pump track.
Trail Scapes has been awarded the contract to construct the pump track in the vacant land next to the BMX and Hockey Facility in Silva Drive. Works will commence on stage 1 early in 2020.
The contractor has put forward three proposed options for the pump track design.
The images below and in the document library show the siting of the pump track, and then the three proposed options for the entire track.
- Option 1: This is the contractor’s preferred option as being suitable for racing and has several transfer-line options for users.
- Option 2: This option offers an extra straight for jump options but not as many transfer lines.
- Option 3: This has a good combination of left and right turns with several transfer options. It could also be used for events.
