In 2025, the council reviewed the Community Funding Request Program and adopted a new system, replacing the program that was in place in 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.
The program is an annual opportunity for eligible community groups and non-profit organisations to apply for funding and initiatives which are aimed at promoting the wellbeing and prosperity of the community. This program’s annual budget amount is announced each year.
The Community Funding Request Program has three streams with a maximum funding amount per applicant:
- Community Impact Grants – up to $10,000
- Sponsorship – up to $3000
- Donation - up to $1000
1. Community Impact Grants
The total pool of funding for each stream will be determined annually by the council through the budget process. The program does not support operational or multi-year requests. The program will open in July 2026 and close in September 2026.

Early initiation of your application is strongly recommended to ensure ample time for guidance and support. All submitted applications will undergo thorough assessment by a panel following established criteria.
2. Sponsorship

Sponsorship is a financial contribution provided by the council to a community group for a specific benefit. All submitted applications will undergo assessment by a panel following established criteria.
