The IG Big Swing Band will swing into The Cube Wodonga next week with an emphasis on local talent.
Managing director Ivan Gellie said there would be a lot of local musicians and singers joining the band this year.
"I am passionate about local talent and that includes a brand new quartet which will perform Glen Miller and Count Basie classics," he said.
Mr Gellie said a Count Basie number, written by Vernon Duke and arranged by John Ferguson, would open the big swing concert with a whole-band performance.
IG Big Swing Band singers include Starr, Liz Kolisnyk, Kierra Oates, Niki Schuur, Louise Phegan, Natalie Schrickker and Courtney Brogden.
Fans will hear works by the likes of Michael Bublé, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Junior and Ella Fitzgerald for more than two-and-a-half hours.
"It is a show for the whole family and is a great afternoon of big band swing music," Mr Gellie said.
Mr Gllie said they are aiming at a younger demographic at the October 20 concert.
"We will still be playing songs by people such as Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack but our vocalist Glenn Star is going to be changing them up a bit to target that younger demographic," he said.
"And we will be also doing some Michael Buble numbers but there is still that big band sound we all love.
"I am an old school big music lover and I hope to see our audiences dancing around to our music.
"Unlike DJ's, big bands always get you up and dancing and this is what we aim to do."
