Fresh flavours and familiar faces at Platinum Brew

28 Oct, 2026

Faye Gong is the passionate business owner behind popular Beechworth Road café, Platinum Brew, having taken over the business in May 2023.

Known for its quality breakfast and lunch offerings, great coffee and welcoming atmosphere, Platinum Brew has become a much-loved meeting place for Wodonga locals.

As the owner of both Platinum Brew and Wodonga Plaza’s Café Koffee Moments, Faye balances the demands of running two cafes while raising a young family. Despite the busy schedule, she is passionate about being hands-on in every aspect and building something meaningful for the community.

“I genuinely enjoy being involved in everything from developing our menus and working alongside my staff to getting to know our customers and continually looking for ways to improve the businesses,” Faye shared.

“Balancing motherhood with running two cafés and leading my teams has brought a completely new perspective to both my life and my businesses,” she said.

The café’s consistent quality, friendly service and reliability have helped build a loyal customer base, with many locals returning week after week.

Morning coffee catch-ups, family breakfasts and friends reconnecting over a meal together has become part of the daily rhythm at Platinum Brew.

For Faye, this has become one of the most rewarding aspects of hospitality.

“Building those relationships and seeing familiar faces return is incredibly rewarding. It makes the café feel like much more than simply a business,” she said.

But it’s not just the people that love Platinum Brew, with four-legged companions also encouraged to join the experience. The café’s outdoor dining area offers a relaxed space where customers can enjoy their visit alongside their pets.

“We know that for many people, dogs are part of the family, so we want our customers to feel comfortable bringing their four-legged friends along when they visit us,” Faye shared.

“We have many regular customers who bring their pets with them, and we genuinely love seeing them.”

A recent menu refresh has given customers even more reason to visit, introducing a range of fresh and flavourful options while still maintaining the approachable feel the community knows and loves.

“We have just launched our new menu, which I’m particularly excited about,” she revealed.

“We also understand that everyone has different dietary needs, so we offer a variety of vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options.”

Behind the scenes, Faye credits her team for much of the café’s success.

Some staff members have worked alongside her since she took over the businesses, with their loyalty, hard work and consistency playing an important role in Platinum Brew’s growth.

“Hospitality is very much a team effort,” she said.

“From the kitchen to front of house, everyone contributes to the experience our customers have when they walk through the door.”

Whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee, catching up for brunch or enjoying a leisurely lunch, Platinum Brew offers a warm and welcoming experience in the heart of Wodonga.

Located at 200D Beechworth Road, Wodonga, Platinum Brew is open seven days a week, from 7am to 3pm, with the kitchen closing at 2pm.
