We are delighted to welcome our next Artist in Residence – Sarah Wallis!
During her three-month residency at Hyphen, Sarah will focus on developing an environmental children’s music project, writing and recording a collection of new songs. The residency will provide dedicated time and space to experiment with sound, explore ideas and develop her creative practice.
Inspired by nature and community, Sarah’s music combines simple instrumentation, everyday sounds and elements of the natural environment to create playful, engaging songs that connect children with the world around them.
Sarah will make guest appearances at Storytime Stars from 10.30am to 11.30am on the dates below. After Storytime, join her at an Open Studio Session to explore, experiment and create soundscapes using natural objects like seed pods, sticks and leaves.
