Exclusive in-depth Bonegilla Migrant Camp tour with lunch

13 Mar, 2026

Discover powerful migrant stories and hidden corners of the largest and longest-operating centre in the post-war era.

Take part in a rare opportunity to explore the full extent of the original Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre with an experienced guide.

During this four-hour in-depth tour, our expert guide will take you on a fascinating journey uncovering the camp’s history, shedding light on the diverse experiences of those who once called it home.

You’ll also visit Latchford Barracks to see the last remaining original building and footings on this site, along with past block locations that are usually closed to the public.

The experience ends with a guided tour of Block 19 where you’ll explore original camp buildings, hear shared stories and truly walk in the shoes of the 320,000 migrants who made this their first Australian home.
