ATHLETES EXCITED TO RETURN TO TRAINING

14 Sep, 2021

With the relaxation of restrictions for regional Victoria, many athletes of the region are keen to get back into their routines.

The committee of Wodonga Little Athletics continued through the offseason and kept planning for a return to summer sport, even when it seemed doubtful after a 7th lockdown was imposed.

It was therefore welcome news when the restrictions were released and allowed our athletes to return to training.

A return to competition will not happen until community sport is allowed to return however, this is the next best thing according to quite a few of our athletes.

Wodonga is looking forward to many new athletes joining us when the season starts after the success on the track and field of our Olympians and Paralympians.

For some athletes, seeing these professionals in action was the first time they had been introduced to athletics and they are excited to come down and learn these skills for themselves.

Returning athletes have found new idols and mentors from watching the Olympics and Paralympics and will be looking forward to training now to perfect their skills prior to competition starting.

Wodonga Little Athletics welcomes new members at any time throughout the season.

All registrations can be completed online and new athletes are welcome for 2 free sessions prior to joining.
