Four days. Two cities. One amazing festival.

We are pleased to let you know that we are busy planning Upstream 2021.
Due to the uncertainly of restrictions resulting from COVID-19 and public gatherings,
the two councils have made the decision to reimagine how we deliver Upstream 2021.
We are working on possible scenarios to deliver some level of programming
under the Upstream banner for our community,
in line with restrictions set by our federal and state governments.

Upstream is the product of both councils working together to host a significant event that spans both cities.

This is a festival of regional significance, a collaboration and connection of art and culture with local food and beverage.

We are thrilled to host a festival that is unique to the Border and has something for all ages.

The festival is family-friendly, has lots of free activities and is accessible to all, creating experiences that people can share across generations.

Upstream gives everyone a chance to explore and experience opportunities featuring nationally acclaimed artists as well as putting a spotlight on some of our local talent.

Upstream is a showcase of Albury-Wodonga and the region.

About us

The festival includes host of activities which celebrate our rich art and cultural fabric with diverse art forms in prominent central and natural public locations, bringing art to the people in unique settings.

Celebration, collaboration, connection.

Upstream gives everyone a chance to experience it all across four days, two cities and one amazing festival.
