Midnight Basketball

Wodonga Council and the Midnight Basketball Wodonga committee are excited to inform you that tournament four is starting in Wodonga on Friday, October 16.

Midnight Basketball is a youth social inclusion program using basketball as an engagement tool to engage up to 60 local at risk or disadvantaged youth aged 12 to 18, during peak times where there is minimal support services available.

Friday and Saturday nights are the highest risk period of the week for teenagers, a time when most other services and activities are not available.

Midnight Basketball is a fun yet disciplined program combining sport and education to fill this gap.

Midnight Basketball Wodonga tournament runs for eight weeks at Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre (YMCA).

So far there has been overwhelming support for the programme and we have seen strong community will and capacity across sectors to keep this fantastic programme running.
