Local band kick off new season of Fridays on My Mind

Fridays on My Mind returns for the 2018-2018 season tomorrow, Friday October 6, in what promises to be an evening packed with entertainment, gourmet food and wine, and good times.

The Cube Wodonga Courtyard will come alive with the sounds of local band, Grooveyard Hammond Combo, from 5.30pm until 8.30pm.

Bringing their own eclectic mix of blues, soul and RnB tunes to the stage, Grooveyard Hammond Combo will perform all the best hits from your vinyl collection, featuring Caz Higgs (electric bass, upright bass, percussion and vocals),
Phillip Stone (guitars, uke and vocals),
Graeme Cook (Hammond organ, accordion, trumpet, trombone and vocals) and Kevin McGrath (drums and vocals).

Indulge in a wide variety of gourmet food, including pulled pork burgers and nachos, popcorn and pancakes, icecream, kranskies, pizza, cupcakes, and more, and the surrounding venues will continue to offer people things to see or do into the evening.

For those who like to dance to their own beat, there’ll be a Silent Disco in The Cube Wodonga auditorium, a Masks and Masquerade workshop with Helen Carter where you can design your own disguise, and a massage station to help keep you limber on the dance floor.

Visit the Wodonga Library for themed activities on Where the Wild Things Are, plus entertainment for the young – and young at heart!

You can also pop into Arts Space Wodonga for the opening of Nicholas Kleindienst’s exhibition, …like a dog without a bone, and watch the quirky antics of the Spooky Ukies band.

Fridays on My Mind will be on again November 10, 2017 and on March 2 and April 6, 2018.
