Tenders are open for the construction of Wodonga Council’s new library gallery redevelopment, as well as the demolition works for the removal of the current building.
The construction tender opened on July 13 and closes on August 27, while the demolition works opened on July 6 and closes July 30.
The cultural precinct project received $4 million from the Victorian Government’s Regional Infrastructure Fund.
The redevelopment will see the construction of a two-story building featuring an upgraded library space, two gallery rooms as well as community meeting and workshop rooms.
A significant design feature is the spiral staircase topped by a skylight that will intersect the second-floor gallery spaces.
The design includes a courtyard to link with the existing courtyard and a second-floor terrace.
