Get more out of life online

9 Oct, 2019

Did you know that 2.5 million people are currently not online in Australia and a further four million people have limited digital skills?

On Monday October 14, Get Online Week 2019 launches in Australia kicking off a week of more than 1000 events taking place around the country to provide support for people wishing to improve their digital skills.

From October 14 to 20, Wodonga Council will host a range of events as part of Get Online Week to help ensure everyone can take part in our increasingly digital world.

Come to Wodonga Library on Friday, October 18 for a morning tea, pop-up displays and tech sessions.

This is for you if you are interested in staying safe online, want to know how to search the internet or how to access eBooks.

All this and more will be covered during Get Online Week at Wodonga Library.

The event will run from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Schedule:
Pop-up displays -10am until 6pm daily.
Tech sessions - Friday, October 18 - Various times
Morning tea - Friday, October 18, 10.30am

Also, stop by during the week to see a display of community resources and organisations that can help support you with your technology skills.

You are also invited to Felltimber Community Centre's Get Online Week Community Barbecue on Sunday, October 20 from noon to 2pm.

Enjoy a free barbecue and learn how you can get online.

Learn about our upcoming 'be connected' programs plus more, with time to ask questions and find out how you can build your online skills.

We will also provide a drop-in session on Wednesday, October 16 from 10am to noon where you can find out more about our digital programs.

Baranduda Community Centre will also host a Get Online Week afternoon tea on Tuesday, October 15 from 1pm to 3pm.

The event will give people the opportunity to chat to staff about how we can assist you to try something new online.

If you are unable to get to these events, you can find digital skills support at a Get Online Week event near you by visiting here.
