Volunteers needed!

Are you ready to be part of the Wodonga Children's Fair team?

Are you a local volunteer and want to get involved in one of the largest local events hosted annually? Then the Wodonga Children's Fair team is looking for you. 

The fair will be held on Sunday, October 27 from 10am to 3pm at the Wodonga Racecourse Recreation and Showground Reserve. There is a variety of roles to choose from, including the FOOST cooking activities, helping promote healthy lifestyles, art zone, entrance gate and helping out in the animal farm.

Expressions of interest will close on Thursday, October 11, 2019.

What can you expect?


Exciting community events such as Children’s Fair would not be possible without the vital assistance of volunteers and Wodonga Council is grateful for any support you can provide. 

We are seeking volunteers to assist the smooth delivery of a range of activities on the day. Some roles have only a 3 hour commitment. 

Specific skills 

  • Must be aged 14 years or over on the day of the event 
  • All applicants will be required to sign up as a council volunteers 
  • Applicants over the age of 18 will be required to hold both a current National Police Check and a Victorian Working with Children Check.

Dress code 

  • A neat appearance is ideal 
  • Closed in comfortable shoes are required 
  • You will be provided with a Children’s Fair lanyard, an event handbook, a water bottle and a hat. 


  • Regular breaks will be provided to all volunteers 
  • You will receive a lunch voucher
