Payment options


The council has introduced new payment options for rates and most accounts. Currently the following accounts cannot be paid electronically: building permits, planning permits, animal registraion, parking infringements and property certificates however, it is anticipated that in the not too distant future, a facility for electronic payment via credit card for some of the above will be available. Details of any new functionality will be displayed on this page when the service becomes available.

Payment options are indicated on your statement or you can contact Customer Service on (02) 6022 9300 if you are unsure of your payment options.

Post Billpay
  • Phone 131 816 and quote the Billpay code and reference on the front of this notice.
  • Internet - Visit www.postbillpay.com.au
  • Credit card: Mastercard  and Visa cards may be used
BPAY
  • Contact your participating financial institution to make payment directly from your cheque, saving or credit account. You will be required to enter the Biller Code and BPAY reference number as detailed on the front of your notice.
  • Go to www.bpay.com.au
By mail
  • Please make cheques payable to: Wodonga City Council. Detach payment slip and mail with payment to: PO Box 1700, Wodonga Vic 3689. Please note that receipts will not be issued for mailed payments.
In person
  • Please present notice at any Australia Post Office or at the council's office at 104 Hovell St, Wodonga. Payments can be made by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.  Accepted credit cards are Mastercard and Visa. Council office hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Cheques should be made payable to Wodonga City Council.
Direct Debit - Rates
  • Direct Debit is now available for the 2009/2010 rating period and beyond.  Upon application, ratepayers will be able to pay by direct debit from their nominated bank account. The direct debits can be either for the full amount owing on 30 September; quarterly instalments as per the due dates; or by nine equal instalments from September to May each year to occur on the 20th calendar day of those months.  Click here to download the rates direct debit application form.
