Build a love of literacy through reading

Posted: 19/05/2009

COME along and meet Wodonga Council's new storyteller at Les Stone and Willow parks in June.

June will also bring an end to storytelling in the park, so make sure you bring the children along.

Keep your eyes out for new storytelling activities coming in terms three and four.

Storytelling sessions in June include:

  • Tuesday, June 2 - Willow Park;
  • Tuesday, June 9 - Les Stone Park;
  • Tuesday, June 16 - Willow Park; and
  • Tuesday, June 23 - Les Stone Park, with a ‘Toy Day' theme.

All storytelling sessions start at 10.30am in term two.

Neighbourhood storytelling is a great fun way to introduce your children to great literature and build a love of literacy through reading, talking, singing and playing together.

All neighbourhood storytelling activities are free and all families are welcome to attend.
