IF you are a motivated young person aged between 15 and 25 years who is interested in improving entertainment in Wodonga for local budding performers in a relaxed atmosphere, then the Feedback committee may be something you are interested in.
Feedback is a chance for young performers, under 25 years (and as young as 12 years) to showcase their talent and fine tune their skills.
Manager community planning and youth Jaime Carroll said it is a place for young performers to experience a live audience and gain confidence in their skills.
“It provides a relaxing place for young people to enjoy the talent of their peers in a supervised drug, alcohol and smoke-free environment,” she said.
Some skills you will learn on the Feedback committee include setting-up sound equipment, event management, policy and procedures, volunteering and much more.
The committee is small, with council looking for a minimum of four people and a maximum of six.
Wodonga Council hosts 10 events a year, once a month on a Friday night from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
If you would like to know more about the committee, phone Stacey Harrison on (02) 6022 9702. Nominations close on June 15, 2009.
The next Feedback event is on Friday, May 22 at Arts Space Wodonga from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The mentor for this month will be Peter Gleeson, owner of M.E.G.A.S Music Store in High St, Wodonga.
