Wodonga has the fastest growing urban development area in regional Victoria.
- Annual building approvals in the city doubled to more than $160 million in 2004, with that increase set against a previous record of $86 million in 2003. Since that record year, they have continued to be steady.

While there are many very good reasons for this, lifestyle and affordability are the two that set the region apart.
- The median house price in the Wodonga area is around $275,000 and people can be assured of getting value for their money.
- The rapidly rising demand for housing in Wodonga and surrounding districts has prompted several residential developments in the Leneva Valley and Baranduda estates. These developments are set in a semi-rural environment, with stunning views of surrounding foothills and mountains.
- Land prices in the region have a median of $111,500.

At the other end of the lifestyle spectrum, central Wodonga can offer all the benefits of classic inner city living. Superbly designed and affordable units, apartments, townhouses and family homes are widely available for purchase or lease in all areas of the city.
There are choices, too, for the elderly and the infirmed.
Wodonga provides the peace of mind of three residential aged care facilities, rental accommodation designed specifically for older people who require basic assistance, and private housing or 'retirement village' style living with associated services.
