2008 Kools Skools - first heat

Kool Skools is an exciting recording and multi-media project for secondary students. The project has been incredibly successful over the past 10 years.

The Kool Skools project is open to all secondary schools and council youth agencies, youth associations or clubs. It promotes, develops and supports a diverse range of talent and all genres of contemporary music writing and performance. Each school or project gets to work within a professional studio, recording an album of original music by their own school bands.

Wodonga Council's youth services department has been a part of this project for the past four years and has uncovered a pool of talent within the local area.

The quality of music produced has been consistently exceptional, with many bands, songs and individual performers being nominated for, and receiving, coveted Kool Skools awards.

School-aged young people aged 12 to 19 years are urged to audition for this exciting project with possibility of showcasing their talents and have their original music professionally recorded at Melbourne's Studio 52.

Wodonga Council youth services is currently running heats for you to audition to be on the 2008 Kool Skools local CD.

The first heat will be held on Friday, July 18 at Wodonga Arts Space (corner of Lawrence and Hovell streets).

Catholic College Wodonga and Wodonga Senior Secondary College are staging their own heats so students are not eligible for the July 18 heats.
