Early Years Staff - Expressions of interest

Council would like to invite expressions of interest from diploma qualified Childcare workers and degree qualified Preschool teachers (4 year bachelors degree).
Successful applicants will be added to Council's relief list and will have the opportunity to apply for permanent or limited tenure roles as they arise.
Application procedure
Please forward the following documents to hr@wodonga.vic.gov.au
- a letter expressing your interest in working for our early years service,
- a statement addressing the key selection criteria listed below,
- a copy of your resume including contact details for a minimum of two references,
- copies of all relevant qualifications
Addressing the Key Selection Criteria
Please include in your application a letter stating how you meet the Key Selection Criteria, providing evidence that clearly demonstrates what you have achieved in relation to the position. It is helpful to use each selection criteria as a heading and then explain how your skills and experience meet that criterion.
1. Ability to work within a diverse team.
2. Ability to take initiative in caring for and educating children.
3. Your experience and understanding of organisational policies and requirements.
4. Good communication skills.

Pre-Employment Functional Assessment
Preferred applicants for this position will be referred for a pre-employment functional assessment where they will be assessed against the inherent physical job demands which are clearly outlined in the position description. The assessment is required to ensure that the applicants have the physical capacity to safely undertake the inherent demands of the position.
