WODONGA EXHIBITION CENTRE
Country Victoria's only fully-enclosed, indoor multi-purpose venue. Located close to the CBD,next to the Wodonga Racecourse in Hamilton Smith Drive, it can host a wide range of activities including state and national livestock and equestrian events, trade shows, exhibitions, plus corporate and private functions.
Other features include an earthen floor, roll-away portable tiered seating enabling up to 1500 people, indoor judging ring, outdoor yards, crush and scales, office area, PA system, three-phase power and extensive truck/car parking. Powered and unpowered sites are also available with toilet/shower amenities.
Additional undercover shed space is available for housing cattle or horses overnight (tie-ups or stalls; maximum of 30 stalls).
The facility is available for day and evening events, and the Nell Wilson Pavilion and kitchen (adjacent) can also be hired in conjunction with the exhibition centre.
Capacity:
- Open space: Approx 34,000m˛ including available overflow parking areas.
- Parking: Approx 6345m˛ of kerb parking along Hamilton Smith Drive which is unmarked. No internal allocated/marked parking area, but three areas of over 130,000m˛ are available for overflow parking shared with the Wodonga Racecourse, showground and pavilion.
- Venue capacity: Main arena up to 1500 people using roll-away tiered seating with option for further seating. Selling ring has capacity for 600 people plus.
- Open space capacity: Large open space, capacity only limited by event set-up.
- Total floor area: 3600m˛. Main arena is 2270m˛.
Facilities and services:
- Services available: 240V single phase, three-phase power and water.
- Toilets, change and meeting room: Large toilet block including disabled access.
- Equipment access: Two roller doors and truck access available to main arena.
- Walking access: Several pedestrian access points, walking paths throughout venue and between main adjoining areas including Nell Wilson Pavilion and racecourse.
- Public transport: Approximately 750 to 1200 metres to various bus stop locations around the venue.
- Semi-trailers access: Access and turning circle available. B double access.
- Surfaces: Turf, concrete and paving.
