Water restrictions - sportsground information

Under current water restrictions, Wodonga Council has been granted limited watering by North East Water under a sportsground water conservation plan. Information is provided below to assist sports clubs or associations manage activities during the water restriction period. For further information regarding water restrictions please contact the Council on (02) 6022 9300.

Ground inspections

Sports clubs, operating under council agreements and public liability insurance policies, are required to complete training and match day inspections of their grounds.  These inspections are to determine the suitability of the playing surface for the planned activity.

In addition to the inspections conducted by clubs, the council has been conducting regular inspections of council-managed or maintained sports grounds since September 1, 2007.  Issues or hazards identified at a particular facility will be brought to the attention of the club and associations for further discussion.
