Good Neighbour Award

Do you have a great neighbour who you'd like to nominate for the Good Neighbour Award?

The Good Neighbour program encourages each of us to reach out and help others in our neighbourhood.

When we take the time to volunteer and help neighbours we strengthen local bonds, enrich community life, and contribute to a greater sense of security in our neighbourhood. Being a "good neighbour" is citizenship in action.

Good neighbours are often quiet achievers who don't look for any reward or recognition for themselves. Yet, they are valuable contributors to our neighbourhoods and to the safety and well being of our communities.

The next Good Neighbour Awards will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012. This will be in conjunction with activities celebrating Neighbour Day.

Nomination forms are available now from Council offices or you can download one (located at the bottom on this page).

Nominations are due by February 24, 2012.
