Designated bushfire prone areas

NEW building regulations (Building Amendment (Bushfire Construction) Regulations 2011) which give the Minister for Planning the authority to determine designated bushfire prone areas in Victoria for the purpose of the building control system came into effect on September 8, 2011. 

It has been determined that there are designated bushfire prone areas in the Wodonga municipality.

Landowners are able to view a free online interactive map service on the Victorian Government Land Channel and obtain a property report by typing in their lot number or address. Members of the community can access this service by clicking here.

This tool was one of the recommendations of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission (VBRC).
