WODONGA Council's strategic planning team manages the content of the Wodonga Planning Scheme.
The council can support a proposal to amend the planning scheme to achieve a desirable planning outcome or to support a new policy direction.
This process is called a planning scheme amendment.
Every planning scheme amendment is placed on public exhibition to allow the affected parties and the public to view the amendment and make submissions to either support or object the amendment.
Amendments are generally placed on public exhibition for one month.
Notice of when an amendment is on exhibition appears in The Border Mail, generally on a Wednesday or Saturday.
Anyone can view the amendment when on exhibition at the Wodonga Council offices at 104 Hovell St, Wodonga during business hours.
Submissions to an amendment must be made in writing and addressed to Wodonga Council, PO Box 923, Wodonga, VIC, 3689, and received by the last day of exhibition.

Amendment No. C94
Land affected: The sites comprise land within the Wodonga Retained Environmental Network strategy (2006) study area and are generally in accordance with the vegetation precinct plan map(s) contained within the WREN strategy.
Description of proposal:
1. Place a Vegetation Protection Overlay (VPO) and Environmental Significance Overlay (ESO) over parcels of private and public land within the Leneva Valley in accordance with the WREN strategy (2006) maps and the subsequent deed of transfer between the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE), the Albury Wodonga Corporation (AWC) and the City of Wodonga and as signed by the Secretary to the Department of Sustainability and Environment.
2. Rezones land within the Leneva Valley and at Baranduda in accordance with the Wodonga Retained Environment Network strategy (WRENs) and its deed of agreement from a Farming Zone, Rural Conservation Zone, Low Density Residential Zone, Public Conservation and Resource Zone, Residential 1 Zone, Rural Living Zone, Industrial 1 Zone and Urban Growth Zone to a Public Park and Recreation Zone. Rezones land from a Rural Conservation Zone, Residential 1 Zone and a Farming Zone to a Public Conservation and Resource Zone, generally in accordance with the WREN strategy (2006) maps and the subsequent deed of transfer as signed by the Secretary to the Department of Sustainability and Environment.
