Wodonga Planning Scheme

Every Victorian council has its own planning scheme that controls land use and development within a municipality.

The scheme contains state and local planning policies, zones and overlays and other provisions that affect how land can be used and developed.

The planning scheme will indicate if a planning permit is required to change the use of land, or to construct a building or make other changes to the land.

A copy of the planning scheme is available to view free of charge at the reception of Wodonga Council offices in Hovell St during business hours.

Alternatively, you can click here to view the Wodonga Planning Scheme ordinance (planning scheme text) from the Department of Planning and Community Development website.

To view the maps from the Department of Community Development website showing the zones and overlays of land in the Wodonga municipality please click here.

If you have any questions regarding the planning scheme, please contact the council's planning team on (02) 6022 9300.
