Temporary toilets on building sites

All building and development sites within the city of Wodonga must be provided with suitable toilets for use by workers on-site. This has been a requirement for more than 20 years and still remains in place. Guidelines have been adopted by the council and incorporated into Local Law No 7, and is listed below:

6.4 Sanitary Accommodation on Building Sites

No person shall undertake any building, engineering or other works which involves the employment of workers unless they are provided with sanitary conveniences for the use of workers, to the satisfaction of the council's Environmental Health Officer.

A penalty can be incurred in the event of non-compliance and our staff conduct random site inspections.  The council regularly receives complaints from workmen and nearby neighbours when building sites are not provided with suitable toilets.
