Attention builders and developers

Wodonga Council welcomes your building development in Wodonga.

We are proud of our high standard of infrastructure, assets, and surrounding environment. We would appreciate your assistance to ensure that your Building Works do not cause any damage to the council's assets, infrastructure or the surrounding environment ( A, I & E ).

As the nominated responsible builder for this development you are responsible to ensure the council's infrastructure and assets are not damaged during construction. It is necessary for you to take precautions during building work to minimise damage to infrastructure and assets and to ensure public safety. You are also required to repair or reinstate any damage that may occur.

You are responsible for erosion and sediment control for the building site, in accordance with the Albury-Wodonga Region Soil and Water Management Policy, for the whole of the construction period.

An inspection of the proposed building site is carried out prior to work commencing, to establish the condition of Council's infrastructure, assets and any other relevant information, and record any previous damage. You should satisfy yourself as to the accuracy of this record, as you may be held responsible for all the damage not recorded.

Non compliance with any of the above requirements may result in the council issuing a "Notice to Comply". Failure to respond to this "Notice to Comply" may result in further action to ensure compliance in accordance with the relevant council local laws.

If you have any queries, require further information or wish to discuss any of these matters, please contact Wodonga Council on (02) 6022 9300.
