Off-leash dog park
DOG DELIGHT: The agility equipment at the Off-leash Dog Park.

The off-leash dog park in Belvoir Park recently celebrated its first full year of operation and has became a much loved spot for dogs and their owners.

People for Paws, the park guardianship group, have been busy providing information and management sessions at the park and have recently launched a dog park website and a facebook page.

People for Paws are hoping that dog park users will assist in collecting information on park usage.

Park visitors are encouraged to record the number of users they see at the park on their facebook page.

Anyone can assist with collecting usage information – all that is required is to note when you have been at the park, or passing by, and how many people and dogs are using the park. This information will assist in planning for future facilities for the park

In March, this year, Mars Petcare generously installed two dog agility runs, with more developments expected in the future.

The equipment has proven very popular with both dogs and their owners.

People for Paws and the council would like to remind residents to clean up after their animals out of respect for other users of the facility.

Biodegradable dog waste bags are provided at each entrance to the park.

The dog park is located at Belvoir Park on Reuss Rd, near Church St, Wodonga.
