Patience Harrington.
Patience Harrington - acting chief executive officer

B.A. Dip Ed. QM

Patience has been a director with the Wodonga Council since 2003 and has extensive experience in both the management and delivery of both community and health-related infrastructure and services at a local, regional and state level. She has also worked at the Australian and State Governments in the development and evaluation of service delivery models with a particular focus on community engagement and social policy development.

Patience is responsible for the council's community development business unit including community planning, neighbourhood projects, community safety, youth services, recreation services, early years, library, arts, culture and events, aged services, community facilities, and skilled migration and settlement.

Debra Mudra.
Debra Mudra - acting director community development 

BEd (ECE), BTeach (ECE), Dip CS. JP

Debra has worked for Wodonga council since 1996 and was previously manager recreation and early years. Debra has extensive experience in both the planning, management and delivery of early childhood and library services. She has been published in the early years field many times. Debra is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia and has a keen passion for planning environments and services that are child and family friendly. Debra also sits on a number of boards at a local, State and National level.

Debra is responsible for the council's community development business unit including community planning, neighbourhood projects, community safety, youth services, recreation services, early years, library, arts, culture and events, aged services, community facilities, and skilled migration and settlement. She reports directly to the CEO.

Trevor Ierino.
Trevor Ierino - director business services 

B.Bus, FCPA, GAICD

Trevor's career spans 30 years in both public and private sector industries. These include banking, motor vehicle manufacturing, food manufacturing, printing services as well as 10 years as chief financial officer with Australia's largest rural water authority, Goulburn Murray Water (GMW). He is a Fellow of CPA Australia, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course. In parallel with his financial background, Trevor has developed a keen and passionate understanding of the equal importance of environmental and social issues for all outcomes to be truly sustainable.

He joined the City of Wodonga as director business services in October, 2007. Trevor is responsible for the areas of finance, asset planning, information services, organisational development, plant fleet and buildings maintenance, customer service, competitive services, governance, communications and marketing, tourism and the Wodonga Visitor Information Centre (VIC). He reports directly to the CEO.

Ralph Paruit.
Ralph Paruit - director investment attraction

Ralph joined the council in 2011 as director investment attraction. He has an extensive background in commercial real estate and this is his first role in local government. Prior to coming to the council, he was associate director at global property firm, DTZ (listed on the London Stock Exchange), heading up the industrial department at their Melbourne office from 2007 to 2011. He has also held senior roles at CBRE and Colliers International. Ralph has a Diploma in Business/Marketing, Masters of Property (RMIT), Graduate Certificate in Project Management, is a qualified property valuer, and holds NSW and Victorian real estate licenses. 

As director investment attraction, Mr Paruit's short-term goals will be to lead the economic development team to achieve the priorities set out in the Economic Development Strategy 2011-2013. Long-term projects Mr Paruit will be involved in include LOGIC, the Manns' development, CBD redevelopment and other future opportunities for the city. He reports directly to the CEO.

Leon Schultz.
Leon Schultz - acting director infrastructure and development

Leon was previously manager engineering and parks. He relocated to Australia from his home country, South Africa, in September, 2007. He was initially employed as manager technical services with the Rural City of Wangaratta before taking up his previous role with Wodonga Council in March, 2010. Leon has a degree in civil engineering and more than 27 years experience in local government - mainly in engineering, infrastructure provision and maintenance.

Leon looks forward to challenges provided by the role, particularly with the recent news regarding the redevelopment of the CBD.
