Accessibility advisory group
Expression of interest
Are you passionate about improving access in Wodonga? Do you know of people in our community who are missing out because they can’t access events, social gatherings, services or facilities? Do you have some ideas for how to improve this?
Wodonga Council is working with agencies and local service providers to establish an advisory group. It is seeking interest from community members to join the group. The group will inform Wodonga Council and local agencies and service providers by identifying local barriers that prevent people with disabilities from participating and accessing community life.
The vision: A universally accessible Wodonga where all residents and visitors are able to access the services and facilities they need to participate fully in life.
The role of the group:
• To improve accessibility of existing and future infrastructure, facilities and transport in Wodonga;
• To build a consultative platform between community members, service providers and council, to advise on issues of concern for people with a disability, as they relate to access; and,
• To promote an awareness of the needs of those with disabilities.
If you are interested in participating in this group please contact:
