Senior Citizens Register
The Wodonga Police Senior Citizens Register program is designed to make senior citizens living in their own home, feel safer in the community.
It aims to give local senior citizens, their relatives and their friends' peace of mind - knowing that the Wodonga Police are concerned for your welfare.
All information is kept in a secure environment and is only accessed by the Wodonga Police and the security vetted volunteers from the community.
By registering and carrying an identity card, information is available to the police through the register to assist should anything happen to a senior citizen, either in their home or in the community.
If you are a senior citizen residing full-time in Wodonga, you are encouraged to join.
Fill in the registration form and return to the Wodonga Police station in Hovell St, Wodonga or posted to:
Once you are registered, an ID card will be posted to you.
This card should be carried with you at all times and should an emergency occur, the emergency group attending the person can contact the register and obtain the name of their next of kin and/or doctor and advise of any health problems that will assist them in looking after the person.
If you require further information or have any questions, please phone the police station on (02) 6049 2600.
The service is provided free of charge and is a community volunteer project.
