Community Impact Grants now open

Could your organisation use up to $3000 to make a difference to the community?

Community Impact Grants are now open and allow the community to make a difference by tackling social and health issues.

The program aims to empower community organisations and individuals to grow ideas in an innovative and creative way, as well as looking to improve the city.

The grant can tackle issues such as obesity, family violence, mental illness and drug and alcohol-related harm.

Community organisations and not-for-profits can apply for up to $3000.

SITE Disability Services used their grant last year to build a stronger, more-inclusive community while Border BMX Club spent their grant on an amazing community event.

You can also use a grant to enhance arts and culture or to address environmental sustainability.

Individuals auspiced by a community organisation can also apply for grants.

The grants help to strengthen programs and services that meet the community’s needs.

They also encourage people to volunteer or participate in their community.

Grant applications close at 5pm on Thursday, February 22.
